Ravenhall, VIC

Lululemon distribution centre

When Lululemon commissioned us to create a mural for their new 23,000 sqm Australia New Zealand distribution centre in Ravenhall, Victoria, they had a clear vision. They wanted artwork celebrating the local area that the team could feel proud of and showcase to international visitors.

Inspired by our Seymour railway viaduct murals, they requested something that echoed that style but reflected their unique brand. We were thrilled to take on this challenge.

The mural concept started with the idea of a postcard-style mural, a nod to the old-school greeting cards from the early 1900s. Drawing on previous work in Seymour and Port Melbourne, Dan expanded this concept to include imagery from surrounding Ravenhall and across Victoria. The goal was to create a mural that would serve as a local landmark and a welcoming feature for visitors from around the globe.

Dan set to work on what would become his largest solo mural project to date. Over five weeks, he poured 170 hours into crafting a piece that used 96 colours and 120 cans of paint. The style? A modern take on classic postcard designs, blending realistic imagery with contemporary typography.

Right from the start both Helanie and Dan were highly engaging wanting the best outcome to suit our needs. Working with them through the concept and design was simple...We now have a wonderful piece that brings life and colour into our workspace that our employees can enjoy daily.

This is the largest mural I have painted on my own. It was five weeks of painting with some long days in there to meet our deadline. This style of mural is a favourite because I am working with typography and layout as well as painting nature and scenery. I get to combine graphic design and mural painting.
