Five artists worked on this project over four weeks. The response from community members in Seymour was overwhelming and incredibly positive, with passers-by and motorists stopping and cheering messages of support to the artists. This project inspired numerous other projects in the area. The local railway heritage members visited artists during production to discuss their passion and how much the mural meant to them.
The Seymour Viaduct artworks are now a major tourist attraction with many people going out of their way on a road trip to stop off at Seymour and thus creating opportunities and increased outsider spending for local business.
