Canvases make great painting surfaces. Walls make even better ones. Event venues are rarely keen to let us paint on their walls, so we partner with an awesome company to build our own.
We've been working alongside Made Experiences since 2017. For events and activations where bigger is better, they can build us whatever painting structure or surface we require. They handle the design, engineering (including certification when required), fabrication, on-site installation and removal. We handle the art. The result is a single integrated delivery, managed by us so you just have to engage one contractor rather than coordinating an event builder and an artist separately.
This is the option for clients who want the full shebang. The artwork can be made to be hang-able after the event, and Made can also deliver and install the artwork on a wall after the event, or even ship it halfway across the world in a custom-built box (yep - they've done this for us too).

Yes. We design and deliver custom paintable structures for brand activations, events and pop-ups across Australia. Whether you need a single freestanding wall, hoardings configured around a space, a multi-element installation or something designed and engineered from scratch to fit a specific brief, we can scope and build it. The structure can be painted on or off site and the build and artwork are all managed by us.

We handle both as a single integrated delivery. You brief us, we brief our event builders and they manage the design, engineering, fabrication, installation and removal end to end while we manage the artwork to go on their awesome structure. You engage one contractor, rather than coordinating between an event builder and an artist. That means fewer points of contact, no gaps between specifications, and a single point of accountability when something needs to be resolved on site.
Yes. Paintable structures can be designed from the start so the artwork is removable, hang-able or relocatable after the event. We can deliver and install the finished artwork on a wall at your office, showroom or another site, or pack and ship it in a custom-built crate anywhere in the world. It's always worth considering what will happen to the artwork from the outset as this will determine how a structure is built and can save on costs in the long run - for example if we know something will be hung or shipped we may use a lighter material.
Costs vary widely depending on the size of the structure, the complexity of the build, the artwork involved and the site requirements (eg. engineer's certificates). We'll talk through what you're trying to achieve, scope the build and the artwork together, and provide an itemised quote.
The more lead time the better. As a guide, simple paintable structures can be turned around in two to three weeks, more complex builds requiring engineering, certification or multi-element fabrication need four to six weeks, and large-scale activations at major events benefit from booking two to three months out to allow proper design development. We'll always do what we can on tighter timelines, but early conversations and scoping allow for more considered planning and help to avoid rush fees.
